Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 20)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Temperatures continue to run above average, albeit just a touch cooler today.  There were some patchy low clouds off-shore, but they didn't make it inland.

There will be warmer weather Tuesday and Wednesday as an off-shore flow develops once again.  There could be some gusty winds, dangerous at times, however those winds should stay just below the advisory level.

Then for the end of the week and into the weekend there will be a wave of energy that will move down the west coast. Right now it looks like that low pressure system will move through as an inside slider, so that means windy and dry.  In fact our long range models into the end of January, right now, there's no rain for the month.  The last time we had a completely dry January was 2003.

Basin - mid to upper 70s

Beaches - low 70s

Valleys - upper 70s to low 80s

Mountains - mid 50s

Deserts - low 70s
