Suspect Tries To Kidnap 16-Year-Old Jogger In Fontana

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were searching for a suspect wanted in the attempted kidnapping of a teen girl in Fontana.

The 16-year-old victim was jogging on Bridalpath Drive near Foxborough Drive around 11:55 a.m. Tuesday when a man reportedly pulled his vehicle over to the curb ahead of her and approached her.

He grabbed her arm, began pulling her toward his vehicle while saying "Let's do it!" and attempted to grope her, police said.

The girl fought back, pulled away from him and said she was going to contact authorities.

The man returned to his vehicle, described as a dark green, 4-door 1990s model Toyota Camry sedan, and fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a thin 25- to 30-year-old black man, who's approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall.
