1 Dead In Boyle Heights Suspected Drunk Driving Crash

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — A suspected drunk driver was in custody Wednesday after her passenger was killed in a Boyle Heights crash.

The accident happened just after 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 2700 block of Washington Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The 20-year-old female driver lost control of the car before slamming into a utility pole, killing her male passenger.

The suspect, who suffered only minor injuries in the crash, was being held by police on manslaughter charges.
