Woman, 75, Dies In Winchester Mobile Home Fire

WINCHESTER (CBSLA.com) — A woman was killed when a fire engulfed her mobile home Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Firefighters responded to the scene at 6:25 a.m. The 75-year-old victim was found inside her double-wide mobile home in the 33900 block of Clinton Avenue and pronounced dead on the scene, according to Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson.

The victim's name has not yet been released by the coroner's office.

Two other residents of the home were taken to the hospital with minor smoke inhalation. Authorities did not disclose the relationship between the man and woman who shared the victim's home.

The fire was contained in 30 minutes but destroyed the home, Hendrickson said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
