LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — For the first-time, downtown Los Angeles is hosting a huge, New Year’s Eve bash in the city’s newly dedicated Grand Park.

“I think it’s actually just being part of the community. Like being with all these other people from the area and they’ve set up everything so beautifully,” said Jessica Hsian, one reveler.
Said Mike Garabedian, another, “I generally hate New Year’s Eve … like it’s my least favorite holiday … and I feel like this Grand Park event is a lot lower pressure and lower expectations than is generally the case.
