Police Searching For 'Smash And Grab' Suspects In '$200K Nordstrom Theft'

ARCADIA (CBSLA.com) — Police are looking for three suspects Nordstrom officials say made off with hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise from an Arcadia store on New Year's Eve.

Officers responded to the Westfield Santa Anita mall at 400 S. Baldwin Avenue after an audible burglary alarm was set off at 4:11 a.m. Tuesday.

A spokesperson for Arcadia police says officers discovered a window leading into the store had been smashed on the west side lower level and jewelry cases that had been smashed inside.

Nordstrom video surveillance shows three suspects wearing dark clothing entering the store.

Police say the suspects fled through an emergency exit that activated the alarm.

Nordstrom officials estimate losses up to $200,000 in jewelry and another $30,000 in purses.
