The unidentified male's body was found floating on the eastern side of MacArthur Park Lake Monday evening, according to Los Angeles Police Department Officer Sara Faden.

Faden said the body was noticed "in plain sight" of the shore at approximately 8:25 p.m.

The LAPD is on the scene near the 2200 block of Wilshire Boulevard, with officers expected to continue the investigation late into the night.

It's unclear if foul play was involved.
