Arrest Made In Violent Mar Vista Home Invasion Robbery

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with multiple home invasion robberies, including one in Mar Vista.

Los Angeles police said in a statement that Jason Faison was taken into custody on Monday after being spotted allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.

Faison is accused of stabbing a 64-year-old resident in the chest and arm on Dec. 22, during a violent home invasion in the 1200 block of National Boulevard.

Earlier that day, police said the victim pulled up to a convenient store gas station at Bundy and National boulevards.

"While the victim was inside the store, the suspect looked inside her car," Adam Roisman, a clerk at the Circle K, said.

Police say the suspect followed the victim home and stabbed her before making off with her laptop. The victim managed to alert the authorities.

The victim was subsequently taken to an area hospital but has since been released. Police said she sustained multiple lacerations and a fracture.

The statement said multiple charges have been filed against Faison, including: attempted murder, multiple robbery counts, and burglary.
