Winning Ticket For $50M SuperLotto Jackpot Sold In Los Alamitos

LOS ALAMITOS (CBSLA.com) — A SuperLotto ticket worth $50 million was sold in Los Alamitos, making this the second multimillion-dollar jackpot potentially won by a Californian in as many days this week.

State lottery officials say the winning ticket in Wednesday night's SuperLotto drawing was purchased at Finish Line Food Store, 5084 Katella Ave., in Los Alamitos. The winning numbers were 24, 16, 17, 33, 14 and the Mega number was 2.

Finish Line will receive a bonus of $250,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Two tickets matched all six numbers in the drawing for the second-largest Mega Millions jackpot in U.S. history -- $648 million -- including one sold at Jenny's Gift Shop on Tully Road in San Jose. On Wednesday, a Georgia woman claimed her half in the cash option, which will total about $120 million after taxes.

The owner of the winning San Jose ticket has not yet come forward.
