Suspected Car Thief Arrested Following Panorama City Pursuit
PANORAMA CITY (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Wednesday arrested a suspected car thief and his passenger following a chase in the Panorama City area.
The pursuit started around 8:50 a.m. at Woodman Avenue and Roscoe Boulevard and came to an end on Van Nuys Boulevard near Parthenia and Nordhoff streets at 9:01 a.m.
At one point, the suspect, who was driving a silver minivan, pulled into a McDonald's parking lot. However, he quickly exited out the other side of the parking lot.
After scraping the side of an SUV on Van Nuys Boulevard, LAPD officers conducted a pit maneuver on the vehicle.
The driver and passenger attempted to outrun police, but were both arrested.
