Body Cameras Coming To Downtown LAPD Officers
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Police Department will soon begin placing body cameras on downtown officers.
About 30 officers have volunteered to wear the cameras, aimed at increasing accountability and reducing complaints, for field tests as they patrol major sections of the area on foot.
"I think it gives them more responsibility," one woman told KNX 1070's Margaret Carrero.

"I don't see any problems with it. I think if that's what its come down to," a man said.
LAPD officials say the cameras will likely be used in early 2014 after new department policies are drafted.
