Crews Battling 50 Acre Brush Fire In Moorpark
MOORPARK (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters early Tuesday were battling a 50 acre brush fire that was sparked in a Ventura County orchard.
The Happy Camp Fire was first reported around 2 a.m., just west of Moorpark College and east of Rustic Canyon Golf Course in Moorpark, the Ventura County Fire Department said.
More than 75 firefighters were battling the blaze which was being fueled by 20 mph winds.
No structures were threatened and there are no homes in the surrounding area.
"There are no evacuations and no hard road closures," the department said on their Facebook page.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
