Man, 53, In Custody In Connection With 3 South Bay Robberies

TORRANCE (CBSLA.com) — A 53-year-old man was in custody Thursday after being arrested in connection with three South Bay robberies.

Nathaniel Joseph Allen, of Gardena, was arrested Nov. 28 after allegedly committing an armed robbery at the Courtyard Marriott in the 1900 block of 190th Street.

Officials say Allen was spotted by patrol officers leaving the hotel in a red sedan. He led officers on a pursuit on until he crashed the vehicle in Carson, fled on foot and was found hiding in a nearby backyard, according to authorities.

Detectives were able to link the suspect to two other robberies on Nov. 27 at the Courtyard Marriott in the 2600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard and the Palos Verdes Inn in Redondo Beach.

Anyone with information about the incidents was asked to contact the Torrance Police Department at (310)618-5570.
