Westboro Baptist Church Vows To Protest Paul Walker's Funeral

VALENCIA (CBSLA.com) — The controversial Westboro Baptist Church is vowing to picket the impending funeral of "Fast and Furious" star Paul Walker.

The church took to Twitter to announce its plans following news of the actor's death on Saturday.

"The furious God cut off Paul Walker! Thank God for His condign wrath! WBC to picket funeral. @RealPaulWalker #TeamPW," the tweet said.

Walker, 40, and his 38-year-old friend, Roger Rodas, died in a fiery crash in Valencia. The two were riding in a Porsche GT when it hit a pole and burst into flames following a charity event for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

The exact cause of the crash is unknown.

The Kansas-based church has publicly opposed same-sex relationships, promised in July to protest the funeral of "Glee" actor Cory Monteith and has even been known to picket soldiers' funerals. It continued to rant on Twitter about the 40-year-old actor's death.

Funeral plans for Walker and Rodas have not been announced publicly.
