Human Skeletal Remains Found In Montebello

MONTEBELLO (CBSLA.com) — Human skeletal remains were found Tuesday in Montebello.

Pipeline maintenance workers discovered unusual debris around 4 p.m. in the 900 block of Lincoln Avenue.

The Montebello Police Department later determined the debris to be skeletal remains.

Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives are helping with the investigation.

North Lincoln Avenue, between San Gabriel Boulevard and La Merced, has been closed.
