UCLA Football Team, Coach Serve Up Thanksgiving Feast At Pink Taco

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — The UCLA Football team, along with head coach Jim Mora, served up a Thanksgiving feast Thursday to 500 veterans and homeless at Pink Taco.

"If I wasn't here, I wouldn't have a Thanksgiving at all," one person said.

The team, which has been busy preparing for Saturday's game against crosstown rivals, the USC Trojans, took a break from the field to volunteer.

"Just trying to brighten up everyone's day a little bit. Provide some conversation and some smiles and some warmth," Mora told KNX 1070's Vytas Safronikas.

The team was also joined by actress Kristen Bell and Mayor Eric Garcetti.

"This has become a tradition of serving up food here at Pink Taco on the Sunset Strip," he said. "Its our way of saying thanks to these folks that are here and to let them know that they are loved on Thanksgiving and to bring their families who have no other place to come."

The event was hosted by the Veterans Administration and People Assisting The Homeless.
