Man, 22, Uses 'Stun Gun' To Rob Woman At Claremont Hotel

CLAREMONT (CBSLA.com) — A man was behind bars Thursday after using a "stun gun" to rob a woman at a Claremont motel.

Matthias McCullough, 22, has been charged with robbery and assault with a deadly weapon, police said.

According to authorities, McCullough reportedly approached a woman at her room at The Claremont Lodge, 736 S. Indian Hill Boulevard, around 7:35 p.m. Wednesday and stole cash and a cell phone.

"During the robbery, the suspect used a "stun gun" on the victim," Lt. Aaron Fate said.

The woman suffered minor injuries in the incident and was treated on scene by paramedics.

McCullough was arrested several blocks away from the motel and still had the "stun gun" in his possession, officials said.

The Rancho Cucamonga resident is being held on $100,000 bail at the Claremont City Jail.
