Woman Driving With Dog Leads Police Chase On 118 Freeway

PORTER RANCH (CBSLA.com) — A woman wanted on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon led a police pursuit Tuesday on the westbound 118 Freeway.

Officers spotted the suspect driving erratically in Simi Valley with a little black dog riding alongside her, according to the California Highway Patrol.

When officers tried to perform a traffic stop, the suspect sped off.

She stopped long enough to allow a man out of the car at Burbank Boulevard and White Oak Avenue.

At approximately 3:45 p.m., the suspect pulled over for officers, throwing out her keys, on the 118 in Porter Ranch.

She was arrested and taken into custody.

Authorities are searching for the man who exited the suspect's car.

No further information about the suspect was made available.
