2 Men Sought In Hacienda Heights Home-Invasion Robbery

HACIENDA HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Sheriff's officials Tuesday were looking for two men who held three elderly victims hostage while their home was ransacked and burglarized.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home in the 15000 block of Facilidad Street around 9:45 p.m. Monday for a burglary-in-progress call, officials said.

When they arrived on scene, they learned two unidentified men had entered the home through a bathroom window.

"As one of the suspects held the three victims against their will in a downstairs portion of the residence, the second suspect ransacked the residence looking for items to steal," Sgt. Bob Boese said.

The victims, a 50-year-old woman, 87-year-old woman and 95-year-old man, were held captive for 45 minutes before the suspects fled out the front door, according to the LASD.

No weapons were used in the crime and the victims were not injured.

The suspects were described only as two Hispanic men in their 30s who were wearing dark clothing.

"The suspects stole approximately $2,000 in U.S. currency, as well as several miscellaneous pieces of jewelry," Sgt. Boese said.

Anyone with information about the crime should contact the Industry Sheriff's Station Detective Bureau at (626)330-3322.
