Security Guard Due In Court For Allegedly Firing Gun At Fashion Island
NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A security guard charged in a shooting at Fashion Island in Newport Beach was due in court Monday for a preliminary hearing.
KNX 1070's Ed Mertz reports 42-year-old Marcos Sarinana Gurrola is being held without bail for allegedly firing a semi-automatic weapon outside the mall.

Gurrola faces 54 counts of discharging a gun in public and two counts of assault after mother and her 4-year-old daughter were injured as they fled the gunfire last December.
Gurrola is also charged with a similar shooting at the same mall in 2011. No injuries were reported in either incident.
If convicted on all charges, Gurrola faces up to 115 years in prison.
