Man, 21, Charged With Fatal Beating Of 84-Year-OldRelative In Glendale
GLENDALE (CBSLA.com) — A 21-year-old man was charged with murder Thursday in connection with the fatal beating of his 84-year-old relative.
James Adrian Sanchez, of El Cajon, was charged with one count of murder for the death of Ruben Sanchez on the morning of Nov. 18 in the 1800 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said.

It's not clear how the suspect was related to the victim. However, a friend of Ruben Sanchez said he is the suspect's step-great-grandfather.
The victim's grandson reportedly heard commotion in the residence around 5:30 a.m. and found his grandfather severely beaten and badly bleeding.
He was taken to County-USC Medical Center, where he later died.
Sanchez, who was arrested Tuesday, faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in state prison. Prosecutors recommend $1 million bail. His arraignment was postponed until Dec. 5.
