9K LADWP Customers Without Power

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Thousands of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers were without power Thursday.

Nearly 13,000 customers in West LA, Lincoln Heights and Central areas were reportedly affected at 8:30 a.m., according to the LADWP.

More than 9,000 customers were without power by 8:50 a.m.

Officials estimated it would take crews 10 hours to completely restore the power.

It was unclear what caused the outage.
