Bill Sharman's 2010 Championship Ring To Be Auctioned Off For Charity

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Joyce Sharman, wife of the late Bill Sharman, visited KCAL9 Friday to discuss the Bill's Ring of Hope raffle.

Sharman was joined by Vice President of Public Counsel Paul Freese, who also serves on the Board of Directors for Angel's Nest.

The online drawing gives those who enter a chance to win Bill Sharman's original 2010 NBA Championship Ring and two premium tickets to a Los Angeles Lakers game.

The raffle, which is going on now, will close at 8 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 22.

The money raised from the raffle will be donated to eight different charities, including Public Counsel and Angel's Nest.

Sharman, a two-time Hall of Famer as both as a player (Celtics 1976) and coach (Lakers 2004), died on Oct. 25, 2013.
