Newlyweds, New Parents Celebrate 11/12/13

FOUNTAIN VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — It was a special day Tuesday for new parents and newlyweds celebrating milestones on the rare date of 11/12/13.

Nathan Landgreen is one of the lucky babies who can claim the numerically sequential date as his birthday.

"I really thought it was a unique date, so we wanted something special," said new mother Nuritza Landgreen of Rancho Santa Margarita.

Because she had a scheduled caesarean section at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, Landgreen was able to pick the special date for baby Nathan's birthday.

Originally Landgreen's doctor wasn't going to make it -- it was her day off -- "but she came anyway and did it, because she knew how important it was for me," Landgreen said.

In Santa Ana, the courthouse was packed with couples tying the knot Tuesday.

"It's so memorable, 11/12/13," said Becky Hoang, who came with her fiancee Seth Esperanza. The couple did not have an appointment but were able to squeeze in a ceremony at the courthouse.

"Our ceremony is gonna be 12/13/14 so we wanted to officially get married today and celebrate in one year."

Dec. 13, 2014, a Saturday, will be the last sequential date for 100 years.
