Son Questioned After Man Shot To Death Inside His Riverside Home
RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A man was shot to death in his home Monday, and police are questioning his 17-year-old son in the incident.
KCAL9's Crystal Cruz reports that officers have confirmed the man was shot multiple times and that more than one gun was found in the house, which is near Sunshine Lane and Trautwein Road. The 17-year-old's mother called police to report that her husband had been shot, and police are now talking to the teen.
A neighbor, Justine Rodriguez, said she had noticed problems at the house previously.
"Since we've lived here, I've heard a lot of commotion over there at that house," she said. "I've called the called the cops a couple of times."
Rodriguez said she heard multiple gunshots on Monday.
"I was sleeping on the couch upstairs and I woke up [to] gunshots," Rodriguez said. "It sounded like someone was pounding on a pot — boom boom boom boom!"
Cruz reports that she was told the family was planning to move out of state and the 17-yeard-old was given the news Monday afternoon.
