Officials ID Woman Killed In Tumble From Santa Ana Car

SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have identified a woman who died after sustaining major head injuries following a tumble from a moving vehicle in Santa Ana.

The body of 21-year-old Gloria Sanchez was found in the roadway in the 1600 block of W. Edinger on Thursday night about 8 p.m. Police said Sanchez was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her 13-month-old daughter, whose name has been withheld, was found nearby. The current condition of the child was not available.

On Friday evening, police said Sanchez's boyfriend, who is also the father of the infant, surrendered to authorities but was being "uncooperative." He was identified by police as 21-year-old Fransico Montano.

Montana has since been booked on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. His bail was set at $200,000.
