HAWTHORNE (CBSLA.com) — A body was discovered early Friday morning after a commercial building fire was extinguished in the South Bay.
The fire was reported at 4:14 a.m. at Earl Schieb Auto Painting in the 3200 block of Rosecrans Avenue in Hawthorne, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

“Upon performing search and rescue operations, we did find one victim that was a fatality inside,” Batt. Chief Brian Askari told KNX 1070.
