Suspected Car Thief Crashes Near Venice Pier After Short Pursuit
VENICE (CBSLA.com) — A suspected car thief crashed near the Venice Pier Monday night during a short police pursuit.
The Los Angeles Police Department's Pacific Division, responding to a report of a stolen Cadillac, began the pursuit at 9:42 p.m., Sky9's Gil Leyvas said.
Four minutes later, the car hit a pole at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Ocean Front Walk.
The suspect, who was uninjured, was immediately taken into custody.
