Pasadena Police Hunt For Suspects Who Fired Dozens Of Shots At 2 Lovers

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Pasadena police are on the hunt for the shooter or shooters who fired dozens of rounds at two lovers in a parked car Saturday evening.

Authorities said two women were injured and three homes were hit.

The shots were fired around 9:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Marengo Avenue, north of Orange Grove Boulevard, said Lt. Jason Clawson of the Pasadena Police Department.

Officials said a 29-year-old Phillips Ranch woman was sitting in a parked car with her 31-year-old boyfriend when dozens of bullets was fired at them, Clawson said.

The female victim was shot once in the arm. The woman's boyfriend, a Pasadena man, drove her to the hospital.

The woman's injury is considered non-life threatening. The man was not hit by the gunfire.

A female passer-by was grazed by one of the bullets and is also expected to be OK, Clawson said.

Three nearby residences were hit by the gunfire. None of the occupants were injured, he said.

The investigation into the shooting is on going. Police said it's unknown how many shooters were involved or whether they were on foot or in a vehicle.
