5 Suspects Arrested In Connection With Internet Child Pornography

MONTEREY PARK (CBSLA.com) — Five suspects were in custody Friday in connection with the possession and distribution of child pornography over the Internet.

Four suspects — 19-year-old Rolando Garcia of South Los Angeles, 43-year-old Mario Aburto of West Covina, 72-year-old Jon Johnson of Fullerton and 52-year-old Gregory MacClean of Palmdale — were arrested this week for their alleged connection to child pornography. Soraya Solimano, 53, of Palmdale was taken into custody for suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.

Los Angeles County Cyber Crimes Task Force conducted a six-week investigation that lead to the suspects' arrest.

The five are not associated and apparently not doing it for financial gain, LA County Sheriff's Det. John Howard said.

"During the course of the investigation, we identified persons that possessed the material and were offering it for share, and then over a period of a few days, investigators were actually able to download material from these subjects as well,"  Howard said. "This material depicts children between the ages of 1-year-old and 16 or so years old engaged in sex acts with adults."
