Toddler's LED-Light Stick Figure Halloween Costume Goes Viral On YouTube

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A toddler's stick figure Halloween costume has gone viral on YouTube.

Royce Hutain, of Huntington Beach, made the suit out of LED lights and Velcro for his 22-month-old daughter, Zoey, after he created the same costume for his snowboarder buddies.

"I sit at computers all day, and I get bored, and I think of ideas like this," he said.

Late Tuesday night, Hutain posted a video on YouTube of Zoey running in her stick man suit. It's already gotten more than 1 million hits.

"All of a sudden, it's gone crazy," he said.

KCAL9's Stacey Butler reported that hundreds of comments have poured in, asking Hutain to sell the costume.

"I don't have the time to try to make money off these things, but it'd be great to be able to show other people how to make them. I'd love to see other videos of other people doing it,"  Hutain said.

Zoey, meanwhile, can't wait for Oct. 31.

On a pre-trick-or-treat test run, Zoey danced on the sand and practiced her spookiest moves.

"It looked like a robot, but it's a real kid," a man said.

On the Huntington Beach Pier, Zoey turned heads.

"She looks like a glow stick figure. That's what I thought it was. I thought someone created a new toy," a resident said.
