Report: Tim Burton In Talks To Direct 'Beetlejuice 2'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Tim Burton is reportedly in talks to direct the planned sequel of the 1988 blockbuster "Beetlejuice".

Warner Bros. may have already asked Burton to direct "Beetlejuice 2", which he is reportedly producing with David Geffen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

However, Burton has yet to read the script for "Beetlejuice 2", which was written by Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg, according to online reports.

Michael Keaton played Beetlejuice in the original film, which also starred Geena Davis, Alec Baldwin and Winona Ryder.

It was not immediately known if any of the original stars will appear in the sequel.
