Dontai Everidge, 27, of Lancaster was taken into custody in Nevada by a multi-office fugitive task force which included the FBI, said officials.

Earlier this year, police working a prostitution sting operation in Van Nuys tried to arrest Everidge but he got away when he grappled with an LAPD officer for his gun, according to the FBI.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office charged Everidge with two counts of assault on a police officer with a deadly weapon; one count of robbery and a count of felony resisting arrest.
