Dodgers Stay With Nolasco For Game 4 Vs. Cardinals

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Dodgers are sticking with starter Ricky Nolasco for Game 4 of the NL championship series against St. Louis.

Manager Don Mattingly says it's a tough situation for Nolasco because he hasn't pitched since Sept. 29. As a result, Mattingly says Nolasco's pitch count won't get too high, although he says the right-hander is capable of throwing deep into the game.

The Cardinals lead the series 2-1. They will start Lance Lynn on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium.

Mattingly says Zack Greinke and Clayton Kershaw both offered to pitch on three days' rest, but the team decided against it. Greinke is set to start Game 5 on Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Hanley Ramirez and Andre Ethier will both start for the Dodgers despite nagging injuries. Shortstop Ramirez is wearing a flak jacket to protect his broken left rib, while Ethier has been bothered by shin splints.
