Stabbing Victim Refuses To Talk To Police After Assault

VENTURA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a stabbing victim refused to provide details about how he was injured Sunday afternoon.

The man called the Ventura Police Department just before 10 a.m. to say he had been physically assaulted and stabbed near a bike path between the fair grounds and river bottom.

As officers began to investigate, they say the man became uncooperative and refused to answer any questions.

The victim received medical attention at the scene and was then transported to Ventura County Medical Center.

At the hospital, the man was treated for non-life threatening wounds and released.

The investigation into is ongoing.
