When the deputy asked the suspect to stop, the suspect became uncooperative and appeared to be reaching for a weapon, according to Deputy Kim Manatt of the Sheriff’s Department.

Additional deputies arrived on the scene and subdued the man. During a struggle, officials said the suspect also tried to kick the deputies.
