Man Struck, Killed On 60 Freeway In City Of Industry
INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — A man was struck and killed Friday night on the westbound 60 Freeway in the City of Industry.
The California Highway Patrol said the victim's car, with his mother inside, broke down on the eastbound side of the freeway at Crossroads Parkway around 8:30 p.m.
The man exited his vehicle and tried to cross all the lanes of the highway to get help. He was then hit by an oncoming car.
A CHP official said they had to tell the man's mother that her son passed away.
Sky9's Stu Mundel reported that three lanes on the westbound SR-60 were closed right before the 605 Freeway until around 11 p.m.
