Suspect Killed In City Terrace Deputy-Involved Shooting
CITY TERRACE (CBSLA.com) — A male suspect was killed early Tuesday morning in a deputy-involved shooting in East Los Angeles.
The shooting happened around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Miller Avenue and E. Almanza Lane in City Terrance, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
Two deputies were responding to a domestic violence call when they were flagged down by a pedestrian who said they saw a man with a gun.
"Deputies made contact with that individual, a struggle ensued at which time the suspect produced a hand gun and deputy-involved shooting occurred," Lt. Dave Coleman said.
Suspect Killed In City Terrace Deputy-Involved Shooting
The suspect, who was in his 20s, died at the scene and a handgun was recovered.
No deputies were injured.
The shooting was under investigation.
