Search Is On For Suspect Who Sexually Assaulted Jogger In Camarillo

CAMARILLO (CBSLA.com) — Police are looking for the man who sexually assaulted a female jogger in Camarillo early Tuesday morning.

Deputies responded to a call of an assault around 6 a.m. in the 1800 block of Daily Drive.

Authorities said the victim was running when the suspect approached her from behind, grabbed her buttocks and pulled her to the ground.

The suspect let go of the woman and fled after she screamed for help.

The jogger suffered minor injuries.

The suspect was described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with short dark curly hair.

He was wearing a dark colored beanie, a gray sweatshirt or jacket and dark pants.

Witnesses in the area reported seeing a man with that description in the area before the incident.
