Car Dealer Cal Worthington Dead At 92

LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Cal Worthington, who was best known for his prolific car sales commercials featuring his dog, Spot, has died at the age of 92.

The car sales tycoon died at his ranch in Orland, Calif., on Sunday. Foul play was not suspected.

At its peak, the Worthington Dealership Group owned 29 dealerships in California, Alaska, Nevada, Texas and Washington. The company later sold most of the businesses, but still has three locations, including its famed dealership in Long Beach.

Worthington, who was married four times, divorced from his last wife, Anna Mjoll, in December 2011 after less than a year of marriage.

The two fought bitterly over Worthington's fortune and his Beverly Hills home.
