Young Man Shot, Killed On Residential Street In Oxnard

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday continued to look into possible leads following the shooting death of an 18-year-old Oxnard resident.

Oxnard police said in a department statement that officers responded to the 1900 block of Napoleon Avenue about 9:06 p.m. Friday following a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a gunshot wound victim, identified only as a male.

Despite efforts by first responders, the victim died at the scene. His name has been withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The statement said that in cases of homicide, Oxnard offers a reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
