LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday asked for the public’s help in identifying a hit-and-run driver who fatally struck a pedestrian near the Four Seasons hotel.
The crash took place at 10:25 p.m. Thursday on Doheny Drive just north of Third Street.

“The victim was a male, not from this area — according to his address — and was walking across the street when he was struck,” Capt. Rolando Solano said.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
Nearby residents say traffic on Doheny Drive has increased in recent weeks.
