2 Arrested In Long Beach Drug Bust

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Two men were jailed Thursday night following an undercover investigation by Long Beach police that resulted in the confiscation of 12 pounds of drugs, $118,000 in cash and nine firearms.

Police made the busts as part of an ongoing investigation into heroin dealing in the city that led them to a residence in the 7500 block of Jaboneria Road in Bell Gardens on Tuesday.

Twenty-one-year old Oscar Salmoran of Bell Gardens was arrested at the residence after a warrant was served.

Three-and-a-half pounds of heroin and two-and-a-half pounds of crystal methamphetamine were also confiscated.

Salmoran was booked for possession of controlled substances for sale and is being held at the Long Beach City Jail without bail.

Detectives were led to three additional locations on Wednesday, where search warrants were also served.

Fifty-six-year-old Domingo Payan was arrested at a residence in the 5300 block of Aldama Street, where six pounds of heroin and $46,000 in cash were confiscated.

Payan was arrested for possession of narcotics for sales, and was booked into the Long Beach City Jail on $100,000 bail.

Two residences in the 2700 block of Montecito Street were also served warrants, the first of which resulted in the confiscation of $72,000 in cash and nine guns.
