$50K Reward Offered In Fatal Studio City Hit-And-Run

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A $50,000 reward will be announced Wednesday morning for information leading to a hit-and-run driver that killed a 35-year-old man.

Michael Spencer Bonanomi was killed around 11:45 p.m. on Aug. 17 on Ventura Boulevard, east of Fairview Avenue, in Studio City, the Los Angeles Police Department said.

The Studio City resident was crossing northbound across Ventura Boulevard when he was struck by a two-door, white Mercedes Benz CLS, according to authorities.

"We are asking for your help to find the person that left our son to die alone, and we want to find justice for Michael," Bonanomi's mother, Eve, said.

Authorities said the suspect's vehicle appeared to be new with dark rims and black paper plates with the word "Encino" written in yellow.

"It should have major front-end damage. The driver-side head lamp was torn out, the hood was dented and the windshield;d was smashed," Valley Traffic Officer Holly Fredo said.

The car was last seen heading east on Ventura Boulevard.
