COACHELLA (CBSLA.com) — A video clip of a burglary led to the arrest of two suspects in connection with two break-ins at a Coachella pharmacy, authorities said Saturday.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that authorities received a call from the Indio Police Department regarding the burglaries, which occurred at the La Botica Health Mart Pharmacy on Wednesday.

According to the statement, one of the agency’s detectives had seen video surveillance of the burglary during a news broadcast and recognized one of the suspects as a “person of interest” in a separate investigation.

Authorities were eventually led to a home in the 46000 block of Arabia Street in Indio where they made two arrests.

The accused were identified as 22-year-old Raymundo Rojas Rodriguez and 21-year-old Alejandro Gastelum, both from Indio.

According to authorities, Gastelum was arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen property but has since been released pending an investigation.

Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of commercial burglary, possession of stolen property, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, the statement said.
