1 Dead In 2-Vehicle Crash In Tustin

 TUSTIN (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said one man was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in Tustin.

The collision occurred about 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Jamboree Road and Portola Parkway.

Officials said a preliminary investigation indicates a passenger vehicle driven by an adult male was traveling west on Portola Parkway when it crashed into a SUV going north on Portola.

The driver of the passenger car was ejected from his car. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two adults in the SUV -- a male and a female -- were taken to the hospital. Their injuries do not appear to be life-threatening, according to Tustin Police.

The name of the deceased was withheld pending notification of his next of kin.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing. It was unknown if drugs or alcohol factored into the crash.
