Justin Bieber Issued Citation For Running Stop Sign, Not Having Valid License
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Singer Justin Bieber was issued a citation early Wednesday morning for running a stop sign and driving without a valid California license in Calabasas.
The incident happened after the 19-year-old ran a stop sign in his Ferrari at Parkway Calabasas and Prado de Las Flores around 4:30 a.m., said sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore.
The Canadian-born star purchased a home in Calabasas in June, TMZ.com reported.
People who move to California are required to get a state license within 10 days.
Whitmore, however, said, "If someone has a residence in another state or country, he or she can have a license from that state or country, as well as one from California. But it was within the authority of the deputy who stopped him to issue him a citation for driving without a valid California license if he wanted, and the deputy did just that."
