Police Warn Pasadena Residents About Rash Of Recent Burglaries

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — A rash of recent burglaries in Pasadena has police reminding residents to lock up before leaving home.

Police say at least seven homes between Lake and Martello avenues have been burglarized this month.

Most of the burglaries have occurred during the day and early evening with some taking place within two to three hours after the victims leave their homes.

Pasadena police Lt. Vasken Gourdikian says the thieves have been making off with electronics and jewelry, according to KNX 1070 Kim Marriner.

"When you're home, if you want to leave your windows or your screen door open to allow air to come in, that's quite fine. It's when you're not home. We're urging the public to help us out as well," the lieutenant said.
