Oxnard Resident Stabbed Multiple Times Possibly During Fight

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say an Oxnard resident was stabbed several times possibly during a fight.

The stabbing occurred around 10:40 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of South McKinley Avenue.

Police say officers were dispatched to the location where they found the victim with numerous stab wounds.

The unidentified victim was taken to the Ventura County Medical Center and underwent surgery. At last word, the victim was listed in critical condition.

A statement issued by the Oxnard Police Department said residents in the area told police that a possible fight involving several people had occurred.

It's not yet known what provoked the incident.
