Special Needs Network Hosts Back To School Health, Dental Fair

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Areva Martin from the Special Needs Network stopped by KCAL 9 on Friday to talk about the upcoming Back to School health and dental fair to help kids get much needed medical screenings before school so they will have a productive year.

This Sunday more than 75 health, educational and dental providers will come together in South LA to provide free screenings for kids and parents. Screenings include developmental, mental health, and immunizations.

The range of providers range from community health providers from T.H.E. clinic in South LA, to UCLA's Autism Center to Loma Linda Dental program.

In addition to the health screenings there will be a free legal clinic, an educational resource zone, haircuts and other educational and health services.

The event is free and open to the public at St Bernadette's school campus at 4196 Marlton from 2 to 6 and includes a backpack and school supply giveaway. Raffle for tablets, computers and more.
